How Can I Connect With God?

Jesus Christ answered this:

"I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one can come to the Father except through me." - The Book of John, Chapter 14, verse 6.

JESUS is the way to connect with God!

How can I connect with God through Jesus?

Admit the Truth

We’re flawed. We aren’t perfect. Far from it, according to the Bible:

No one is good, not even one.
No one has real understanding;
No one is seeking God.
All have turned away from God;
All have gone wrong.
No one does good, not even one.
- The Book of Romans, Chapter 3, verses 10-12.

Okay, so I admit the truth - I’m flawed - now what?

Believe the Solution

God created us to have a never-ending relationship with Him!

Unfortunately, we’re incompatible with God due to the fact that He is perfect and we are flawed. It’s like trying to mix oil and water - it won’t work!

God’s solution: Take care of the problem Himself.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish, but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.
- The Book of John, Chapter 3, verse 16-17.

When we were utterly helpless, (Jesus) Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now no one is likely to die for a good person, though someone might be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending (Jesus) Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
- The Book of Romans, Chapter 5, verses 6-8.

Can you believe it?  Last thing:

Commit Your Life to Jesus Christ

You’ve been let down before. We all have. Could you try again, with Jesus?

For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.
- The Book of Romans, Chapter 10, verses 8-13.

Trust Jesus totally. Give up relying on yourself and your own attempts to please God! Trusting Jesus is the only way to please God.

Commit yourself to Him as Lord. In other words, "make Him your boss."

Believe in Him. Not with just your head, but with your heart.

Tell God that you want to follow Him, something like this:

"God, I trust Jesus totally. I give up trying to please you by myself. I trust in Jesus’ sacrifice for me to do this. I commit my life to Jesus as my Lord - he’s my boss from now on. I believe that Jesus is that perfect sacrifice for me, and that He rose from the dead to prepare a place for me in Heaven."
